Laying the foundations for digital tool construction
20.08.2019
Henstedt-Ulzburg – In early June, the foundation was laid for a new production and competence centre at the company headquarters.
With this step, Werkzeugbau Doose is expanding its production facilities from 900 m² to 2,000 m² and also setting up a manufacturing and competence centre where fully digital tool construction with additive manufacturing (3D printing) will be achieved under one roof.
In two expansion stages, a production facility oriented towards the digital future will be established by 2022. The facility will be capable of around-the-clock production with predominantly robot-based operation and process automation, continuously performing digital workflows. Furthermore, the location will create an additional 20 to 30 primarily highly qualified jobs in the long term.
