1. Breaking ground for new headquarters of NORDGATE partner NOVAPOR

In early June, the ground was symbolically broken on Nikolaus-Otto-Straße in Kaltenkirchen for the new headquarters of NOVAPOR Hans Lau (GmbH & Co.) KG. The headquarters of the family-owned company has been in Kaltenkirchen since 2000, on Carl-Zeiss-Straße. Multiple extensions and annexes were constructed between the years 2005 and 2013.

Last year, NOVAPOR acquired a commercial property of approx. 17,000 m² and in the first construction phase will construct an office (approx. 800 m²), production facility (approx. 2,185 m²) and warehouse (approx. 2,185 m²). The total investments amount to roughly €6,000,000.

"With this investment, we want to accommodate our sustained positive development. Due to our rapid growth in the current building, the hall floor plans and processes are no longer optimal and need to be reworked. With the new building, we aim to take the next step while continuing to rely on healthy growth. At this location, we also have the option of constructing additional warehouse, production and office spaces in an additional construction phase," remarked the Managing Directors Jörg and Andreas Mühlenberg.

"It’s great for the town of Kaltenkirchen and the region that the family business NOVAPOR is still investing in the future after more than 20 years at its Kaltenkirchen site, and that we were able to provide a suitable commercial space in development plan 74," states an enthusiastic Mayor Hanno Krause.

NOVAPOR develops and produces individual and sophisticated packaging and transport solutions as well as technical foams. The company has recently received multiple large orders for the manufacture of packaging for distribution of COVID-19 vaccines from the companies AstraZeneca and Biontech/Pfizer.
